At the Parkville Nature Sanctuary, the Shortleaf Band of Springfield, featuring Mike and Tinley Fraser, entertained the crowd with haunted ballads and fiddle tunes. The annual Ghost Story Night featured a gourd-geous alignment of jack-o-lanterns and spooky, haunted trails. Witches, voodoo doctors and zombies lurked among stately, ghost-eye trees. A hot dog vendor and A Taste of Brazel food truck offered cuisine. Complimentary hot chocolate, S’mores and carnival-style games were stationed inside the nature sanctuary.
