Some repair work is underway on the upper exterior of the historic Platte County Courthouse in Downtown Platte City. In addition, the Platte County Commission recently approved a $2.7 million construction bid with Straub Construction to renovate some interior areas of the courthouse. That renovation work is expected to begin in December. The courthouse renovation will be paid for with federal funds that the county received through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), which is COVID relief money.
