On Monday, Sept. 16, at approximately 6:50 a.m., the Platte County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on I-29 northbound near the 21-mile marker near the Hwy. 273 (Tracy) onramp. This single vehicle rollover accident with injuries resulted in a temporary shutdown of I-29 with traffic being diverted to Hwy. 371.
The driver of the vehicle, a 28-year-old female from Savannah, Mo., was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious physical injuries.
The interstate was reopened at 7:40 a.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Platte County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team
