Featuring two female vocalists and four other musicians, the Kansas City-area band known as Cherry Bomb rocked the front of the Platte County Courthouse on Saturday night in Downtown Platte City. The audience brought lawn chairs and enjoyed a two-hour show. It was the last of three monthly concerts on the courthouse steps, sponsored by Platte City Friends of the Arts. Cherry Bomb describes its music as “your favorite irresistible dance hits.” The band has been a crowd favorite around venues in the Northland for years.
