Mr. and Mrs. James F. Auman announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Rhonda Lee Hoskins, to David Wayne Hunter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Hunter of Kansas City. Rhonda is a 1979 graduate from the Platte County R-3 High School and is currently employed as a domestic engineer. David is a 1975 graduate from the Platte County R-3 High School. Both are planning to attend college classes this fall at Maple Woods Community College.


The first annual reunion of the Richard and Mary Elizabeth Bales Buckler family will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 1 p.m. at the Platte County Fairgrounds.

The free show sponsored by Platte City merchants next Wednesday night will be “The Wackiest Ship in the Army” with Jack Lemmon and Rick Nelson, in color.


Mr. and Mrs. Paul Whitters and family of Ohio have been here this week visiting Mrs. Cora Whitters, Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Bills at Raytown and other relatives and friends. Mr. Whitters is being transferred to Breenich, Conn. and the family will be moving there soon.


Mrs. Florence Ingels returned from California with her daughter.
