ON NW WOODY CREEK ROAD IN SOUTHERN PLATTE COUNTY
On Tuesday morning about 6 a.m., deputies with the Platte County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 4800 block of NW Woody Creek Road in extreme southern Platte County on a reported shooting. Upon arrival deputies located a 33-year-old female victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to her arm during what is suspected to be a domestic violence incident. Deputies rendered first aid to the victim and secured the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her non-life-threatening injury.
During the investigation of the incident, a person of interest was identified and later taken into custody at a separate location. The sheriff’s department says currently there are no other suspects. Authorities do not believe there is any further danger to the public regarding this matter.
