Imagine meeting the demands of 68,000 customers in one month when they’re all hungry, expect their food to be of consistently high quality, want it served as quickly as possible and courteously. That’s the challenge confronting the Platte City McDonald’s employees during the extremely busy summer months. It’s a tough job by anybody’s standards, but one that just got a little easier, thanks to the recent installation of a computerized french fryer or Arch Fry Machine. Because of its location by I-29, the Platte City location is extremely busy year-round and has the volume necessary to bring in the state-of-the-art fry machine.
A public meeting on the proposed county shooting range, to be located at I-435 and FF Highway, is scheduled for Tuesday, July 19 at 7 p.m. at the commission meeting room in the Platte County Administration Building, it was announced Tuesday. This is an opportunity for local citizens to express their opinions on the proposed project before the county commissioners and representatives of the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Five seventh and eighth graders combined math and muscles to plan a landscaping design and plant a variety of trees and shrubs native to Missouri around the Platte City Intermediate School playground.
