A facility committee for the Platte County R-3 School District will recommend to the R-3 school board that a new elementary school be built “in or near Platte City.” It will also be recommended that East Platte Elementary be closed, that a new gym be built at Barry School, and that air conditioning be installed at the high school in Platte City. The suggested plan from the facility committee also includes renovating the current Barry School gym for instructional purposes.
