EDITOR:

Congratulations on a great job covering the Marji Gehr fiasco; as an outsider it’s been pretty entertaining. It makes me grateful that I have a boring little city, which brings me to the purpose of this note.

Chris Kamler’s last column described my little city as ‘the poor man’s Smithville.’ Now, I know it’s all in jest and found it quite amusing actually, realizing that we’re a stone’s throw away from ‘Zona Rosa – the poor man’s Plaza’.

Ivan, just to catch you and Chris up on current events here at Weatherby Lake, we have had multiple $1 million homes purchased and torn down only to be replaced by new homes worth well more than the initial investment. So that being said, Ivan, once it warms up sometime in May or June I’m inviting you, Chris, Cindy and your spouses for an evening cruise on our ‘poor man’s Smithville.’ Chris brings the adult beverages.
