Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Grafton of Plattsburg will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary at a reception in their honor on Sunday, April 8, 1979. The event will be held at the community room at the American Bank Building, 104 S. Main, Plattsburg, Mo. from 2-4 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Grafton were married April 11, 1929 at Atchison, Kan. and lived in Platte County for 18 years before moving to Plattsburg, Mo.


Tuesday, March 20, the Fun and Friendship celebrated their fifth anniversary at Shannon Hall in the Methodist Church. About 50 persons were there to enjoy the afternoon of visiting and playing games. Each one received a green carnation as they arrived. The Youth Class of the Methodist Church served refreshments of a beautiful cake baked by B-Wayne Bakery.

Dan Lingren, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Lingren, Route 1, Platte City, has been elected executive vice president of the student body of Ricks College, Rexburg, Idaho, and will serve during the 1979-80 school year. Ricks College is owned and operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It is the largest privately owned junior college in America.


Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Kimsey celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary Sunday with a family dinner at the Hilton Plaza Airport Inn.
