Bill and Betty Knight, Platte City, celebrated their 25th anniversary on Jan. 26, 1994. Their children, Michelle and Carrie, hosted a gathering of family and friends.


Diane Everett, eighth grade student at Platte City Middle School, is shown doing her daily geography review. She will be one of the 100 in Missouri to compete in the National Geography contest. Dianne qualified by receiving one of the 100 highest scores in Missouri on a written test. The contest will be held in Columbia on April 8. Winner of the state competition will have the chance to win a $25,000 college scholarship at the national competition in Washington, D.C.

Recently announced is the approaching marriage of Rachelle Ann Peterson, daughter of Ruth Peterson of Kansas City and the late David Peterson, to Chad Jeffrey Kloppe, son of Larry and Lana Kloppe of Washington, Mo.
