Christopher is also launching an online version of his column at a new website.

Two people were taken to the hospital early Sunday morning after a disturbance in Platte City. The incident started at 1820 Gates Drive West around 2:10 a.m. According to Richard Sayles, police chief, officers responding to the scene found nine people outside the home. Two people had been stabbed and one had been beaten. Officers determined a disturbance had begun inside of the home, before moving outside to the front lawn. The disturbance allegedly began because of accusations of theft of an Xbox video game system.
