Lydia Doole was crowned queen of the Platte County High School Homecoming on Friday night at halftime of the Pirates’ 24-21 victory over Park Hill South. Homecoming king is Nash Brown, who had been crowned at a victory supper event earlier in the week. Both are seniors at the high school. Homecoming celebration included activities such as the victory supper last Wednesday evening and a parade on Fourth Street from Thomas Drive to Rising Star Park in Platte City on Friday afternoon. A community tailgate party hosted by Connections Bank was held in the High Pointe Shops parking lot following the parade.
