Two Platte County Sheriff’s Department vehicles were damaged on Sunday evening after a car stop turned into a pursuit. The suspect vehicle, a 2007 silver Ford F-150 with Nebraska personalized plates inscripted STRIKE3, was still at large as of Monday evening. A deputy initiated a stop on the southbound ramp to I-29 from Hwy 92 in Platte City. As the deputy was approaching the truck, the driver backed the truck into the patrol car and then sped off to I-29 and then to southbound I-435. The truck later then slammed on the brakes on 20th Street, which caused another patrol vehicle to slam into the back of the truck. The driver escaped and remains at large.
