Landmark building sold

The Landmark Newspaper

Blake Barth, left, accepts the keys from Platte County Landmark owner/publisher Ivan Foley after Barth purchased the historic Landmark building at 252 Main Street in Platte City. The sale closed on Friday, Sept. 1. Blake Barth, of Lookout Tower LLC, is the son of local developer David Barth. Now in its 159th year of publication, The Landmark had been in the 252 Main location for the past 124 years. The Landmark has moved into 1,100 sq. ft. of updated office space at 212 Marshall Road, Suite C, Platte City, in the former Platte County Health Department facility. The Landmark office is on the lower floor, on the east (back) side of the building. The newspaper will hold a public open house at its new location later this fall.
