The first of six Friday night fall concerts happens this week at Zona Rosa, the shopping district located at Interstate 29 and Barry Road in Platte County.

Brass Rewind will take the stage at 6:30 p.m. in Zona Rosa’s Central Park, which is the green space next to Bravo Italian Restaurant. Bring your own blanket or chair to snag your spot.

Brass Rewind refers to itself as “KC’s premier jazz-rock horn band — showcasing the memorable music of the greats: Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Steely Dan, Blood Sweat & Tears, AWB, Ides of March, Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, and more.”

It’s the first time in recent years that Zona has offered concerts in the fall. A summer series of Friday concerts wrapped up at Zona on Aug. 4.

Each of the fall concerts will be held on Friday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Zona Rosa says attendees are welcome to come early to get dinner at any of the restaurants located within the shopping district.

The complete fall concert schedule at Zona Rosa looks like this:

SEPTEMBER
Friday, Sept 8: Brass Rewind
Friday, Sept. 15: Superstar Mafia
Friday, Sept. 22: Way Too Famous
Friday, Sept. 29: Steve Bankey and the Flatland Band

OCTOBER
Friday, Oct. 6: Quite Frankly
Friday, Oct. 13: The Champagne
