Rescheduled work on I-435 now set to begin Saturday

FROM I-29 TO THE KANSAS STATE LINE

Crews have rescheduled their plans regarding resurfacing work which will require various daily and nightly lane and ramp closures along portions of Interstate 435 from approximately I-29 to the Kansas state line.

Originally scheduled to begin a few weeks ago, work has been rescheduled to begin on Saturday, April 7, through approximately mid-June.

Work will require the following traffic changes. All work is weather permitting and subject to change. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and seek alternate routes if needed.

Friday, April 7
·Overnight crews will close the ramp from southbound I-29 to southbound I-435 extending work to the Prairie Creek Bridge beginning at 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning for asphalt milling and paving.

Saturday, April 8
·Overnight crews will close the ramp from northbound I-29 to southbound I-435 extending work to the Prairie Creek Bridge beginning at 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning for asphalt milling and paving.
Sunday, April 9

·Daytime crews will be paving portions of I-435 beginning at the Prairie Creek Bridge to 120th Street (Route D) beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, April 3, until approximately 7 p.m. During this time there will be various lane closures in this area.

·Overnight crews will close various ramps at 120th Street (Route D) beginning at 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning for asphalt milling and paving.

Monday, April 10

·Daytime crews will be paving portions of northbound I-435 beginning at 120th Street (Route D) to the Prairie Creek Bridge beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, until approximately 7 p.m. During this time there will be various lane closures in this area.

·Overnight crews will close the ramp from Northbound I-435 to Northbound I-29 beginning at 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning for asphalt milling and paving.

Tuesday, April 11
·Daytime crews will be paving portions of northbound I-435 beginning at 120th Street (Route D) to the Prairie Creek Bridge beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, until approximately 7 p.m. During this time there will be various lane closures in this area.

·Overnight crews will close the ramp from Northbound I-435 to Southbound I-29 beginning at 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning for asphalt milling and paving.

Wednesday, April 12
·Daytime crews will be paving portions of southbound I-435 at 120th Street (Route D) to the NW Farley Hampton overpass beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday, April 6, until approximately 7 p.m. During this time there will be various lane closures in this area.

·Overnight crews will be paving portions of southbound I-435 at the NW Farley Hampton overpass to the Tiffany Park Road bridge beginning at 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning for asphalt milling and paving.

Thursday, April 13
·Daytime crews will be paving portions of southbound I-435 at the Tiffany Park Road bridge to the MO-152 bridge followed by portions of northbound I-435 from the MO-152 bridge to the Tiffany Park Road bridge beginning at 7 a.m. Friday, April 7, until approximately 7 p.m. During this time there will be various lane closures in this area.

·Overnight crews will be paving portions of northbound I-435 from the Tiffany Park Road bridge to the NW Farley Hampton overpass beginning at 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning for asphalt milling and paving.

Friday, April 14
·Daytime crews will be paving portions of northbound I-435 at the NW Farley Hampton overpass to 120th Street (Route D) beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, April 8, until approximately 7 p.m. During this time there will be various lane closures in this area.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
