Among the announcements is a new occupant–a Mexican restaurant–coming to the former Bar Louie location at the intersection of NW 86th and NW Prairie View in Zona.

Anejo Modern Mexican is scheduled to open later this spring and will be located at the corner of NW 86th and NW Prairie View in the spot formerly occupied by Bar Louie.

Anejo offers modern Mexican cuisine and is known for its margarita flights. Zona will be the restaurant’s second location in the Kansas City metro. Their other location is in Olathe.

Indications are that Anejo plans a mid-to-late April opening in the former Bar Louie spot.

The Anejo menu includes wings with sweet spicy house-made mango sauce, and Angel’s Favorite, which the restaurant describes as grilled mahimahi and shrimp with vegetables on Mexican rice, smothered with white cheese dip and special sauce.

The list of other new stores for Zona Rosa includes:

Restore Hyper Wellness is now open, located at 8528 NW Prairie View Road next to European Wax. Restore provides wellness and cryotherapy services.

rOOTS. Opens in April and will be located at 7102 NW 86th Terrace, next to Bo Lings. rOOTS is a locally-owned houseplant and gift shop and Zona will be their second location in the metro.

Lids. Opens this spring and will be located at 7266 NW 86th Place, next to Sunglass Hut. Lids specializes in officially licensed headgear and apparel for all your favorite teams. This marks their return to Zona.
