On Saturday, Dec. 10, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be coming through Platte City on a parade around town. The event begins at 3 p.m.

The parade route will begin at Ensign Drive, proceed to Kentucky Avenue, then to Fourth Street, and end at School Drive.

Immediately following the parade, a Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will be held at Rising Star Park, which is located at 1009 Second Street. The public is invited.
