Winter is officially two weeks away but if the past two weeks weather is any indication of what to expect it is surely going to be one of those “good ole days” winters with lots of cold, snow and blow.

Under the direction of Mrs. Jane Miller, the chancel choir of the United Methodist Church of Platte City will present the John W. Peterson Christmas cantata “Night of Miracles” during the morning worship service and again at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11 in the church sanctuary. Soloists for the cantata are Ron Geary, tenor; William Hughes Giffee, bass; Roland Giffee, tenor; and Rev. Kyle Hern, baritone. Larry Reineke will narrate.
