Sports gambling bill shouldn’t be rocket science

EDITOR:

I really enjoyed your Landmark Live with Scott Wedman. He was such a great player who could shoot and play excellent defense. It was great to hear his NBA experiences. I remember seeing him jogging in my neighborhood when I lived in Independence many years ago.

I’m interested to listen to your next interview with the senator (Tony Luetkemeyer). I think he has done an excellent job.

I would like to know if sports gambling will pass this next session? I think a lot of the problem has to be some of the egos involved. Denny Hoskins and his video lottery terminals he’s worried about is another big problem. I would think having a separate bill just for sports gambling and a separate bill for the video lottery terminals should be easy to do.

They act like passing a sports gambling bill is rocket science. Kansas made it look so simple. They need to pass it early in the session and not wait until the last 10 minutes.

I hope you can let the senator know that Missourians are frustrated and don’t like to drive to other states to bet on sports. It’s time for action, so Missourians can have some fun and possibly make some money.

Thank you, Mr. Foley, for reading my rant. Keep up the great work.
