Learn about the Banneker School restoration project on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Watkins Park in Parkville, 10th and West Streets. Light refreshments will be served. The Banneker School Foundation and Historic Site in Parkville will be launching a capital campaign later this fall. The campaign will raise funds to complete the school’s restoration. Learn how you can use your network to help the Banneker School Foundation meet its capital campaign goal. Hear what has already been done to save the school. Find out what still needs to be done to complete the restoration. Tour the school’s grounds and take a peek inside the school. You can also tour the grounds of the historic Washington Chapel.
