Weekend fun planned for annual festival

Music, crafts, parade at Parkville Days

There’s fun for virtually everyone in the family when the annual Parkville Days festival takes place this weekend in downtown Parkville.
A carnival, live music, arts and craft vendors, shopping, food, helicopter rides, a parade and much will be offered during the three day event, which runs this Friday through Sunday, Aug. 19-21.

Nine-hole golf course planned at Creekside

One of downtown Parkville’s largest events, the Parkville Days festival features a variety of family-friendly entertainment.

Attendees are invited to bring your lawn chairs and enjoy live music along the Missouri River and on Main Street. The Evans Midland Empire Carnival is open all weekend, starting Friday at 6 p.m.

Browse and enjoy arts and crafts, retail, food, and specialty booths. Participating downtown shops will host their “end of summer” sales and specials.

Admission to the festival, which is centered at English Landing Park, is free.

Friday, August 19:
6 – 10 p.m.

Evans Midland Empire Carnival Wristband Special $25. Cash, ATMs are available.
Live Music on the McKeon Stage (English Landing Park) starting at 6 pm
Music on Main Street
Arts & Crafts, Retail, Food & Specialty Vendors
Face Painting, Caricatures, & Pet Portraits
Helicopter Rides ∙ 6-8 p.m. ∙ $40 per rider, Cash ∙ (Grigsby field in Platte Landing Park)
Beer Tent for Main Street Parkville Assoc.
Downtown merchant Sales and Specials

Main Stage Entertainment on McKeon Stage in English Landing Park:

7:30 p.m. Accidental Moguls

Saturday, August 20
10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Pancake Breakfast ∙ American Legion ∙ 8-11 am
Parkville Farmer’s Market ∙ 7 am – Noon (Located on West Street next to the Fire Station).
Parkville Days Parade ∙ 10 a.m. Parkville Trivia and Giveaways at Announcer Stand (First & Main) ∙ The parade starts at 10 am at 63rd Street & Hwy 9 and routes to downtown Parkville on Main Street.
Live Music on the McKeon Stage in English Landing Park starting at Noon (See Band Schedule below)

Parkville Days BINGO – 1st 3 to complete win prizes and all completed cards will enter a raffle to win a $100 gift card to downtown businesses. Pick up Bingo cards at participating businesses or at the Festival Info Tent.
5/10k River Run hosted by the Parkville Area Chamber of Commerce ∙ 7 am – 9 am.

1:30 p.m.: Whiskey Mash Band
4:30 p.m. Brendan McNaughton Band.

Sunday, August 21 ∙
