A 47-year-old man from Iowa was injured in a one-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 29 about a mile south of Platte City on Monday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a southbound 2014 Nissan Armada driven by Joshua J. Winslow of Prescott, Ia. went off the right side of the roadway, then apparently overcorrected and ended up on its top in a lane of interstate traffic. Winslow was transported to North Kansas City Hospital suffering from what the patrol’s report describes as moderate injuries.

The crash occurred at 7:25 p.m. Monday just north of the 16 mile marker. For point of reference, that location is about two miles south of the Hwy. 92 (QuikTrip) exit in Platte City.

There was another rollover crash on an interstate in Platte County earlier that same day. At about 8:35 a.m. Monday, a 1997 GMC Sierra rolled over in a crash on northbound I-435 at the 31 mile marker in Platte County.

The highway patrol says that one-vehicle crash occurred as the Sierra driven by Truett H. Walters, 33, of Tonganoxie, Kan. traveled off the left side of the roadway, returned to the roadway, traveled off the right side of the road and then overturned. Walters was transported to North Kansas City Hospital with what are described in the report as moderate injuries.
