Miss Kathryn Kim Wingate and Lt. James Ronald Keadle were united in marriage on May 14 at the Platte City United Methodist Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. an Mrs. Donovan K. Wingate, Platte City. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Keadle of Independence. Rev. Kenneth Lutgen, Jr. performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride’s dress was made by her mother. The dress was made of quiana with a lace overlay bodice and lace sleeves. The bouquet was miniature pink roses and white carnations with baby’s breath. A reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church following the ceremony. The coupe will be at home at the Marine Corps base, located at Quantico, Va. near Washington, D.C.


Mrs. Tootie Crump was honored with a taco supper on her birthday Saturday night at the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Hensley and sons. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Estes and Wendy, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Slayden, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Pepper, Shaker and Sissy of Platte City and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Bennett of Camden Point.

Mr. and Mrs. Wesley D. Ball of Camden Point announce the marriage of their daughter, Janice Kay to Charles E. Thompson, son of Mrs. Catherine Thompson of Platte City. They were united in marriage on Friday, May 27, 1977 at Nashua Baptist Church in Nashua, Mo., by the Rev. Vance R. Veasey.
