Jackie Halloran, with Platte County Parks and Recreation, has announced this year’s free Yoga in the Park is set to kick off in May. The 16-week sunset summer series is led by Amy Vance, who leads a variety of yoga classes at the North Kansas City Library. Yoga in the Park will be held every Thursday, beginning at 6 p.m. at Platte Ridge Park, 17130 Hwy 371 north of Platte City. Yoga is the Park is free, just bring your yoga mat or a beach towel. Registration is not required and classes typically last about an hour.
