Tom Hutsler, a Parkville businessman, on Tuesday was in Jefferson City to file for state representative in district 12. The district includes Parkville and Riverside in the southern portion of Platte County. Hutsler said his legislative priorities include increasing support for law enforcement and disaster preparedness in the state, investing in Missouri’s infrastructure and improving the accountability of school districts to parents and students. “I consider myself a man of action and that means where others may shy away, I am ready to take charge and lead,” Hutsler said. “I don’t back down from a challenge and am ready to give the people of the district my all. Career politicians and bureaucrats don’t scare me,” Hutsler told The Landmark this week.
