A Zona Christmas
The excitement of the official start of the holiday season was enhanced by the Christmas tunes at the Northern Lights Holiday Lighting Ceremony Saturday evening, Nov. 20 at Zona Rosa. Just before 6 p.m., Santa Claus arrived on a snowball white fire engine to greet a large crowd gathered at Zona Rosa’s North Park. Emcee Karli Ritter of Fox 4 selected a girl from the crowd to join her on stage and flip the switch, lighting up the 55-foot Christmas tree and floating crowns. A rosy red bench with a cross-legged reindeer and adjacent gold shimmering ornament became a photogenic spot. While families waited their turn for the Instagram-ready spot, the Nutcracker greeted children and posed for photos.
