New faces are always welcome in this weekly shindig.

And new faces fill the winners’ circle in Week 9 of Landmark Pick’em, with BAK taking the first place prize and Linda Godsil grabbing second.

The NFL slate was filled with upsets this week (who foresaw the Jaguars beating the Bills?) so the contest was wide open. BAK stepped in and snatched the $20 gift certificate to Nick and Jake’s in Parkville by correctly tabbing nine of 14 winners and 14 tiebreaker points. Linda Godsil also had nine correct picks but seven tiebreaker points. Linda Godsil wins a $5 gift certificate from Ten & Two Coffee Bar in Parkville.

So, BAK and Linda, please send your mailing address to ivan@plattecountylandmark.com and we’ll get your gift certificates put in the US mail right away.

Third place (remember, no prize we just like to give honorable mention) was notched by three contestants who had eight correct picks and 15 tiebreaker points: Kurt Foley (familiar last name), Grant Jackson and Tracey Steele.
