Miss Dinah Lynn Foster of Lawrence, Kan. and Allen Dean Johnson of Lawrence were united in marriage on Sept. 4, 1976 at the Plymouth congregational church at Lawrence. The Rev. Lynn Taylor officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Wayne Bremer of Platte City, Missouri and Richard H. Foster of Coffeyville, Kan and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Johnson of Lawrence, Kan. A reception was held at the Holiday Inn in Lawrence immediately following the ceremony.


Next Tuesday, Oct. 12, James C. Kirkpatrick, secretary of state who is the Democratic candidate for re-electon to that office, will visit Platte County. At 11 a.m. he will speak at West Platte Senior High School. At noon he will be the honored guest at lunch at the Weston Fire Station. At 2 p.m. he will speak to the fifth grade classes of the Platte County R-3 Schools in Platte City. There will be a reception starting at 3 p.m. in the courthouse lobby honoring Mr. Kirkpatrick, sponsored by the Platte County Democratic Women.

Nancy Ann Gourley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Gourley of Platte City, and Patrick Glen Palmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Palmer of Platte City, were united in marriage on Sept. 10, 1976 at the First Christian Church in Platte City. The Rev. Lester M. Weeks performed the double ring ceremony. The couple is at home in Rolla.
