The Platte County Regional Office of the Greater Kansas City Chapter of Red Cross has relocated its office in Platte City. Effective Monday the office address becomes 234 Main Street, Platte City, Missouri 64079. The new site is the former “Old Giffee” building which for many years was a harness shop. The Rev. Ken Lutgen, a regional chairman of Red Cross in Platte County, has been active in negotiating the move. Mrs. Wynema Kington, Red Cross county regional administrator, estimate the building to be approximately 100 years old.

Forty-five relatives gathered Sunday at the Northwest Club House in Smithville for the second reunion of the Anders family descendants. Coming from distances were Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Hanson, Collins, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Welpman, Armstrong, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilson, Lathrop, who chalked up the longest number of years of wedded life. There were four generations of the Jean Aikmus family present. Plans were made for an annual meeting at the same place.
