Married at 2 p.m. on Aug. 7, 1976, at the First Christian Church of Platte City were Carolyn Jean Coffey of Platte City and John Robert Wallace of Thornfield, Mo. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. O.F. Coffey of Platte City and Mr. and Mrs. Arlie Wallace of Thornfield, Mo. The Rev. Lester M. Weeks performed the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Janet Leachman, organist, accompanied Mr. David Wood, the vocalist.


San Antonio–Airman Lisa N. Fee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Fee, Rt. 1, Weston, has been selected for technical training at Lowry AFB, Colo., in the Air Force supply field. The airman recently completed basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas, and studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special instruction in human relations. Airman Fee is a 1975 graduate of West Platte High School.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Flit and Jenny entertained Tuesday evening for her mother Mrs. Alma Edwards’ birthday with homemade ice cream and cake. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Arnold, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bledsoe and Dianna, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Babcock and Bud Edwards.


Mr. and Mrs. Roger Flint and Jenny and Mrs. Bud Edwards went to Weston Friday night to watch Rick Edwards play ball. Mrs. Edwards shopped in St. Joseph Saturday afternoon.
