Cops and Kids, an annual event designed to promote positive interaction between young people and local police officers, drew a crowd of more than 500 people to downtown Platte City the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 10. Highlights included booths and vendors, free food options including hot dogs and hamburgers, and a mobile laser tag field with inflatable obstacles. Kansas City Chiefs mascot KC Wolf was also on hand.
