RetroActive, a tribute band, performed music of the 80s in front of the Platte County Courthouse Saturday night as a large crowd watched from the comfort of lawn chairs. It was the first of what will be a series of concerts this summer, with one held on the second Saturday evening of June, July and August, sponsored by the Platte City Friends of the Arts. The RetroActive band dressed the part of an 80s group and played some of the more memorable songs of the decade that the crowd easily recognized and, in some cases, sang along. Later shows set on the courthouse lawn this summer will include Soca Jukebox on July 10 and Cherry Bomb on Aug. 14.
