Chicago Title Insurance Company announces the appointment of Mary Gibson as manager of their Platte City office with responsibility for the administration of that office.


Dr. and Mrs. Jerry Jenks of Kansas City, Mo. announce the birth of their daughter, Ashley Dawn, on June 4, 1976 at the Spelman Memorial Hospital. The maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Williams of Dearborn and the paternal grandparents are Dr. and Mrs. Donald Jenks of Weston.

All of the occupants of the Platte Hotel have moved out and the building is closed. This hotel has been in operation since about 1896.


Mr. and Mrs. James L. Whitton of Platte City announce the marriage of their daughter A1C Janet L. Whitton of Williams Air Force Base, Arizona to Sgt. Isaac K. Kenolio, also of Williams Air Force Base. A1C Janet L. Whitton Kenolio is a 1973 graduate of Platte County R-3 High School.


Lee Hull, who was elected Platte County Prosecutor two years ago, has filed for re-election. The Missouri Supreme Court ruled recently that prosecutors who were elected the November before their counties attained second class status should serve only two years. Hull, 32, lives in Weston with his wife, Boots. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Owens Lee Hull of Weston. The prosecutor was graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1965 with a bachelor’s degree in public administration and received his law degree there in 1968.
