Mrs. Sharon Crowder and new daughter, Staci Lin, came home Saturday. Staci Lin was born Tuesday, May 18, 1976 at Methodist Medical Center. She has a brother, Jason, to help care for her.


Paul Scaglia of Parkville, who has been a resident of Platte County the past 22 years, has announced he is a candidate for the Democratic nomination for assessor of Platte County.

Mrs. Geraldine Hon Burnett retired May 21, 1976 after 35 years of teaching school. She began her career in the fall of 1933. She has the distinction of having missed only three days of school during her entire life as a student and teacher. Mrs. Burnett is the wife of Arthur Penn Burnett.


Miss Helen Elizabeth Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon L. Miller of Platte City, was united in marriage to Lloyd Graham Hanley, Jr., son of Col. and Mrs. Lloyd G. Hanley of Jefferson City, on May 23, 1976, at the home of the bride.


On Sunday afternoon, June 6, from 2-4 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Zumault will observe their golden wedding anniversary with an open house at their home.


Mrs. Roland Giffee entertained with a luncheon Tuesday at the Marriott in honor of her mother, Mrs. Mary Baldwin There were 15 guests present to celebrate her 80th birthday.
