At Pizza Shoppe
A series of car shows is planned once a month over the next several months by the Pizza Shoppe of Platte City.
The Pizza Shoppe, located at 2437 NW Prairie View Road, is planning a car show in the parking lot of its business every third Saturday through September.
The City of Platte City has given permission for participants to be allowed to consume and carry alcohol inside the special event perimeter.
Dates for the car shows are May 15, June 19, July 17, Aug. 21 and Sept. 18.
Shows are scheduled to run from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The city informed the Pizza Shoppe that written permission from the property owners must be provided for the hosting of the events on their property.
Alcohol may only be served and consumed within the special event perimeter and must be in plastic cups or aluminum containers only. The Pizza Shoppe is responsible for contacting the State of Missouri Liquor Control to ensure that all state liquor license permitting is completed for the events, and must obtain a city liquor catering permit.
The restaurant is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, county or local public health guidelines.
