Set for the Thursday, April 1 show

He’s back for a return appearance.

Almost a year to the day after his first appearance on the show, Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas will be the featured guest on the Thursday, April 1 episode of Landmark Live. The show will go live at 6 p.m. that evening.

Landmark Live is The Landmark’s videocast, shown live on the newspaper’s Facebook page and at plattecountylandmark.com.

Lucas will join Landmark publisher Ivan Foley and co-host Brad Carl for a conversation about the mayor’s challenges and successes of the past year in regard to battling the COVID-19 pandemic, accomplishments and goals for Kansas City government specific to the Northland, the recent approval of the Northland Soccer complex, the city’s challenges in fighting crime, the mayor’s political future, and much more. There will also be lighthearted segments designed to give viewers a chance to get to know Lucas on a more personal level.

Foley and Carl will be broadcasting from The Landmark’s studio in downtown Platte City and Lucas will join them via Zoom from City Hall in Kansas City.

Lucas last appeared on Landmark Live on April 9, 2020 in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
