A COVID-19 vaccination event was underway Wednesday morning, Feb. 3 as The Landmark headed to press with this week’s edition. The Platte County Health Department was set to administer a few hundred doses of a COVID-19 vaccine to persons over the age of 90, law enforcement personnel, various other first responders and essential workers.

Local health officials say there is a huge demand but limited supply of the vaccine to this point but they are keeping the public aware of updates through their social media pages.
