“We are excited to be able to offer an event to celebrate art and Giving Tuesday,” says Dori Thomas, Platte City Friends of the Arts president. “We wanted to give the community an opportunity to have fun all while staying safe in their homes.”

The event is a partnership between the Friends and the Platte County R-3 FBLA for Giving Tuesday, a national day of giving and is open to anyone with an internet connection.

Registration deadline is this Saturday, Nov. 21. The cost to attend is $35/person or $48 for two. Fee includes the virtual painting party, a canvas, paint, and brushes. Kits can either be mailed or picked up at the Platte City Mid-Continent Library starting on Monday Nov. 23.

Find out more information and register at www.plattecityfriendsofthearts.com.

Platte City Friends of the Arts was chartered as a not-for-profit in 1999 with a mission to bring quality arts involvement and enjoyment to the community of Platte City and the surrounding area.
