City Hall in Platte City is closed to the public at least through next Tuesday, Nov. 3 pending results of COVID-19 testing for staff following a potential exposure.

DJ Gehrt, city administrator, said City Hall staff members have returned to the off-site work system used from March-May this spring.

Residents can continue to use normal city phone, email to contact staff for all services, Gehrt said.

Police operations, public works operations including solid waste and utilities have not been affected by the closure.

Youth basketball practice through the Platte City Parks and Rec program has been delayed until at least Nov. 16.
