Dancing politicians, drinking at NFM

Dance like no one is watching

Nebraska Furniture Mart has beer and wine available for shoppers. You can literally walk around and drink while you shop for that perfect loveseat. I love America. Alcohol laws are easily the most confusing laws of the land, right behind lockdown mandates and the sketchy powers that allow such government actions.

Just making sure you’re aware, but there is an election on Nov. 3. Better get out there and vote. Mask up and treat your poll workers or postal workers right. No tips required unless you’re changing someone’s vote and then those are called bribes and felonies. Words matter, people!

The Kansas City Star continues to dive into a deeper liberal narrative by the day. This weekend they ran an article on violence in Kansas City and this is the headline. “What is driving gun violence in KC? The community answer: Lack of trust in police.”

What? That is a ludicrous summation drawn from a small percentage of residents cited in the article. The Star continues to push this narrative, just as they have pushed the narrative for years that outstate legislators have somehow been responsible for gun violence in the cities.

While gun violence is a complicated subject matter, laying the blame for the action of criminals at the feet of the very people that protect the community doesn’t appear to be beneficial or even accurate. It is another step in the coddling of a generation of young people that have been told they aren’t responsible for their actions. It’s sad that anyone feels that the police are the problem and sadder that the only daily newspaper in the region promotes the theory.

If you’re a “Trump”er I have bad news. At one of his rallies last week, President Trump did a little “jig” at the end of his speech. His “dad dance” was to the theme of the Village People’s YMCA and it was about as you would expect. Dancing for old white guys is typically political suicide.

Tom Steyer ran for president on the Democratic side last year. He did a dance with rapper, Juvenile, during a campaign stop. The dance was set to the tune, “Back that Azz Up.” I’m not making this up.

The dance went viral and it was exactly as you expect from a pasty white, 60+ year old, baziollionaire hedge fund manager. He ended his bid for the presidency shortly thereafter.

If you’re a “Trump”er you got to hope that Joe Biden forgets he’s not MC Hammer in the coming days and breaks into his white guy version of “U Can’t Touch This” and then we will get the polls back to even before Nov. 3.

Yes, I did not know who “Juvenile” is either. I read his entire Wikipedia page and I still don’t know who he is. I did note that he was once arrested for not paying $170,000 in child support, which seems like a lot of money for a child, but he also assaulted his barber once. I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve never owed $170,000 in child support and never thrown hands with my barber.
