Parkville area man reported missing

UPDATE WEDNESDAY MORNING, OCT. 7: The Platte County Sheriff’s Department says Mr. Skinner has been safely located in the Mount Vernon, Mo. area.

The Platte County Sheriff’s Office says it is asking the public for assistance in locating Christopher Skinner, a 51-year-old white male from the Parkville area.

According to the sheriff’s department, Skinner suffers from Alzheimer’s and was last seen at his home near Parkville at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Authorities say Skinner was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue zip-up hoodie. He is believed to be driving a blue 2015 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with Missouri license plate JD7 Z0X.

Anyone observing Skinner is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency or call the Platte County Sheriff’s Office at 816.858.3521.
