The NORAD Band from Colorado Springs Air Force Base will present a concert at the Platte City High School at 2:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3.


Mr. and Mrs. Bob Kyle of Dearborn announce the birth of a son on Friday in St. Joseph. Mrs. Kyle is Valerie King, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matt King.

Billy Shaun Edwards, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Edwards, Dearborn, was one of the 39 area carriers of the St. Joseph News-Press chosen by the Inland Daily Press Association to represent the News-Press as the outstanding carrier of the year.


Miss Delores Mayer and Mrs. Floreine Grisham returned home Saturday from a 17-day tour of Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England.


Mrs. Lucile Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Andy Jones and Troy attended the Coffeyville Junior College versus Highland Junior College football game at Highland Saturday night. Coffeyville defeated Highland 37-0.
