A body was found in a pond in the Northland, in the area of NW 64th St. and N. Cosby Avenue.

The body was found on Monday, Sept. 7 in the pond just east of the Community America Bank at 6390 N. Cosby. Sgt. Jacob Becchina of the Kansas City Police Department told The Landmark that a passerby observed a lifeless body floating face down in the water. Becchina said the Kansas City Fire Department responded, retrieved the body from the pond and confirmed the person to be deceased.
