Shooting at KCI-area hotel

Kansas City police officers and a van from the crime scene investigation unit at the hotel on Wednesday morning.

Shooting at KCI area hotel

Kansas City police were busy investigating a shooting at the Sure Stay Plus Hotel, Kansas City in Platte County, on Wednesday morning. More than 10 police officers and a crime scene investigation van were at that location mid-morning. Sgt. Jacob Bucchina with the KCPD told The Landmark preliminary information indicates that a male was shot and was transported from the scene, possibly in critical condition. No suspect information was available, Sgt. Bucchina said. Police responded to the call at 8:42 a.m. The hotel is located at 11828 NW Plaza Circle, not far from the Platte County Resource Center.
