Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Schroyer of Weston announce the birth of their son on Friday, June 13, 1975 at the Menorah Hospital in Kansas City. He has been named Gerald Stanford.


Robert L. Reed has taken the position of administrator of Spelman Memorial Hospital, Smithville, Mo., on July 1, succeeding Michael T. Ward who resigned to return to his native Northwest region. Reed and his wife have purchased a home in Hoover Heights, Platte City.

Mr. and Mrs. Glen Jacks announce the birth of their son, Adam Patrick on June 14, 1975 at the Spelman Memorial Hospital in Smithville. Mrs. Jacks and Adam came home on Tuesday.


Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Brown of Platte City announce the approaching marriage of their daughter Janet Lee to Wayne Brent Newman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Newman of Silver Springs, Maryland. The wedding will be August 2, 1975 at the Second Creek Church.


Mrs. Lucille Jones had Mrs. Phillip M. Jones, Gwyn and Lynn from College Point, NY as visitors on Monday night.


On Saturday, June 14, at 4 o’clock the home of Mrs. John Simpson was the scene of a voice recital presenting Miss Sarah Breen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Charles Breen. Miss Breen, this year’s graduate from Pius X High School who has been Mrs. Simpson’s student the past three years, possesses a voice of flute-like quality, and charmed her audience with a warmth of tone and a flexibility of register, unusual in one so young.
