During a videoconference of the school board meeting on May 28, Nicole Kirby, director of communication for Park Hill, announced the district has received the go-head from the state to feed all the children in the area, regardless of whether they are Park Hill students.

The district’s grab-and-go meal program has been offered at multiple school buildings since March. Upon learning that some families lacked transportation to these sites, the district began making home deliveries if necessary.

Kirby said the district will continue to feed children through Tuesday, June 30.

“In addition, working through one of our vendors and the USDA, Ronda (McCullick, director of nutrition services) and her team are providing boxes of fruits and vegetables once a week to families in need,” said Kirby.

It is offered at a first come, first served basis, school officials said.
