Authorities believe they have found the folks responsible for a recent crime spree in the northeastern quadrant of Platte County.

From Dec. 2 through Dec. 9, the Platte County Sheriff’s Office took numerous reports in the unincorporated areas of Platte County, which resulted in five stolen vehicles, one stolen ATV, eight thefts from autos, three burglaries and two incidents of criminal damage to property.

Thefts and burglaries included the stealing of multiple firearms, ammunition, electronic devices, credit cards and cash. One recovered stolen auto from Independence, Mo. was also located.

Platte County Sheriff’s Department Major Erik Holland said the sheriff’s office, with the assistance of citizens and their surveillance systems, have identified suspects in these thefts. Charges are being sought against two juveniles and two adult males, Holland said.

Two of the suspects are currently in custody in other jurisdictions on other charges, Holland said. Investigative information has been sent to the prosecutor’s office and charges in Platte County are pending, expected to be filed soon, Holland said.

Names of the adult suspects will be made public after charges are filed.
