Sample the City, an event sponsored by the Platte City Chamber of Commerce, will fill the downtown area next Thursday, Sept. 27. The event will run from 5-7:30 p.m. on Main Street.

It will feature more than 50 vendors, says Angie Mutti, executive director of the Platte City Chamber of Commerce. In addition to the vendor offerings for shopping, there will be music, food, drinks and a chance to mingle with other members of the community.

If you or your business are interested in becoming a vendor, it is not too late. Contact the chamber of commerce at 816.858.5270 or email angie@plattecitymo.com.

Landmark Live, a weekly live show on Facebook produced by The Landmark Newspaper, will broadcast live from Sample the City on Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. Hosts Ivan Foley and Brad Carl will be making their way up and down Main Street, broadcasting on the move, throughout the festival. They’ll have prizes for the asking.

You can watch the Landmark Live show on the Platte County Landmark Facebook page at Facebook.com/plattecountylandmark. The video remains on The Landmark’s Facebook page for watching at your leisure.
